In this frame grab from APTN taken on Monday Feb. 1, 2016, a policeman stands guard as a mechanical digger destroys a makeshift church at a migrant camp in Calais, France. A regional official said the operation Monday was the culmination of a two-week effort to clear a 100-meter security zone around the perimeter of the camp. The official said authorities the migrants and charity groups helping them were informed Jan. 19 of the pending demolition, and that no one was hurt in the operation. (AP Photo/APTN)

On Friday 16th March the government have an opportunity to pass a bill that would allow a wider range of family members to be reunited with refugees living in the UK and reintroduce legal aid refugee family reunification so no more children don't have to grow up alone.

Please write to your MP urging them to say something during this debate so more families can be reunited in the UK.

This is the difference 1 top up can make!! Thank you to everyone who supported the Friday Conga over at Phone Credit For Refugees and Displaced People - Supporter page <3

"This is the hand of my friend, he is from Sudan and is 15 years old. You could never imagine the last 12 months he has lived. Tortured in Libya, nearly died in a rubber boat whilst trying to cross the Med. He tried to cross into France, but was sent back, illegally, to Italy. The last week he was sleeping in a tent, in sub-zero conditions. This week, your group arranged a €20 top up for his phone, he was able to contact a solicitor. This morning I received a message from him. Thanks , and only thanks to ONE TOP UP OF €20, he is now safely in France and being looked after...this boy is now safe, really, your donations can save lives...a million thanks to you all..."

On Friday Phone Credit For Refugees and Displaced People - Supporter page did their usual Conga to raise money for top ups.

This Friday was very special as an anonymous US donor offered to match donations up to $10,000 (approximately £7,200).

We're thrilled to tell you that the conga raised a staggering £8,200.

THANK YOU to all of you who donated. This money will go a very long way to helping people fight their asylum cases as well as stay in touch with their families and loved ones.

We absolutely love it when people step up to solve some of the biggest challenges facing Calais and other refugee settlements.

The new Calais Laundry is almost up and running! They will enable dirty clothes and blankets to be washed instead of being discarded.

They are looking for individuals, families or groups to sponsor a month‘s running cost. It’s €1000, which covers electricity, water, spares. Could your group take this on for one month?
Please message them on their page if you’re up for the challenge.
